It is a joyous day, early this morning, surrounded by his family, Dad was called home to be with his Father at 12:24 AM.  Dad transitioned to his home from the hospital yesterday afternoon, and waiting for him were his wife, his children, and grandchildren.  Dad was able to have a special moment with each of them, making a point hold each persons hand.  Our prayers were answered that he never suffered any pain, and went peacefully.  The family cried, laughed and shared many stories well into this morning.

Funeral arrangements are currently in the process of being made and will be posted here as soon as possible.

Thank you all for your prayers, your notes of love, and all your support.

God bless you,

Son Jim

  1. Jim, you are one of the best coaches, mentors, friends, and men I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. You never failed to tell me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear, but you did so in a way that made me love you for it. You are one of a handful of men other than my wonderful father who have had a profound positive impact on me. I have not one single unhappy memory of you. I will miss you, my friend. I had a good cry for my loss today, but I look forward to the day I will see you again…let’s sing some songs in Heaven, okay? Love you to pieces.

  2. I am so very glad we were all there with Big Jim, known to me as D2. He was like a second father to me! I’m so blessed to be a part of this loving family. So thankful D2 was at peace, and that we all got to hold his hand and talk to him.
